What are the first steps in visiting the doctor?
Your first dental visit is a half an hour consultation which involves a physical examination of the teeth, gums and jaws. A dental prophylaxis is performed wherein the teeth are thoroughly inspected, cleaned and polished. X-rays are taken to identify areas which may need future attention. Accordingly, options are offered in which a specialist will deal with you.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
We advise both children and adults to have a check-up at least every 6 months.
